Overview
The ISO 9001 QMS Requirements course is a 2-day, competency-based program that provides a clear, practical, and auditable understanding of ISO 9001 requirements, aligned with the emerging direction of ISO 9001:2026.
The course explains how organizational context, interested party requirements, and changing business environments influence QMS design and performance. It emphasizes the process approach, PDCA, and risk-based thinking, with awareness of digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, and emerging AI-enabled decision-support technologies, consistent with current ISO/TC 176 discussions.
ISO 9001 requirements are addressed clause by clause, with emphasis on process performance, leadership accountability, documented information, knowledge management, and continual improvement. Where relevant, digital and AI tools are referenced by name for awareness only, without instruction on implementation or use.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Interpret the structure, intent, and requirements of ISO 9001, including changes anticipated in ISO 9001:2026
- Apply the process approach, PDCA, and risk-based thinking in dynamic and digitally influenced business environments
- Use organizational context and interested party needs to design and maintain an effective, resilient QMS
- Understand leadership, accountability, and governance expectations for QMS effectiveness and improvement;
- Identify process performance measures, data requirements, and objective evidence needed to demonstrate conformity
- Recognize emerging digital and AI-enabled decision-support tools that may influence quality management, at an awareness level only

Examinations
Participants who successfully demonstrate competence will receive a Certificate of Attainment covering the following Exemplar Global competency unit:
- QM – Quality Management System Requirements (RTP)
Participants not meeting competency requirements will receive a Certificate of Attendance and may retake reexamination.
Participants receive a package that consists of interpretation of ISO 9001:2015 Standard related materials supported by process approach examples, scenarios and case studies and other value-added reference materials.
- A computer running windows 8 or windows 10 or macOS X with macOS 10.9 or later.
